An Electronics Assembly & Support (EAS) Technician position in Greensboro, NC is available through Modis. This is a long term, contract to hire opportunity with a growing industrial technology company in the heart of the Triad. The ideal EAS Technician candidate will possess at least three years of experience in electronics assembly and good soldering skills. The EAS Technician will assemble and wire production units, complete installation, customer training and field repair of electro-optic instrumentation. The EAS Technician is also responsible for supporting customers in the field, and assuring internal product performance and system quality through hands-on system troubleshooting.

Responsibilities of the EAS Technician include but are not limited to:

Work unsupervised, meet production goals, and communicate well with other team members and customers
Follow all approved assembly and test procedures to achieve daily production and project goals
Receive, document, and inspect all incoming inventory items: components and subsystems
Perform scheduled field maintenance on equipment for domestic and international customers
Effectively evaluate equipment, recommends appropriate repairs to customers, and recommends action necessary to complete and repair in a cost-effective manner
Performs all repairs, scheduled maintenance, and installation and training support for Company systems in both lab and factory environments
Identify all out-of-stock and lower stock level items to Production Manager
Provide input on quality improvement, process improvements and cost reduction opportunities
Coordinate and perform hardware and software tests in support of SA team members
Develop and perform all incoming component and system acceptance testing
Provide customer support on the phone or over team viewer to assist with issues in the field

Qualifications for the EAS Technician are as follows:

Minimum three years of electronics assembly experience building and testing electrical panels
Proficient in reading electrical schematics and blueprints
Electrical troubleshooting experience (using electrical tools and multi-meter)
Mechanical and Electrical assembly experience using hand tools and gauges
Basic Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
Demonstrated attention to assembly, testing, and quality detail
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a periodic basis
Valid drivers license required
