Enterprise Architect – Direct Hire – Chicago, Northern Suburbs
 
This is a direct hire, full time, permanent position for an Enterprise Architect with an extremely stable, well-respected, premier organization located in a near northern suburb of Chicago.  On top of a very competitive base salary you will also receive excellent benefits, a strong bonus and an extremely generous 401k program.  
 
Job Description:
 
As an Enterprise Architect you will drive the company’s organizational objectives and respond to disruptive technology and market forces by enabling the delivery of business capabilities and stewarding technology resources to their most efficient and effective use.
 
You will be an integral part of helping this company move their ERP to the cloud!
 
As an Enterprise Architect you will be:
 


  • Leading the development, maintenance, leverage, and governance of the enterprise architecture function across the organization.
  • Understanding, translating, advocating, supporting, and aligning technology strategy with business strategy.
  • Leading the organization’s technical direction.
  • Providing core architectural services including: strategic and scenario-based planning, development of technical strategies and roadmaps, and leadership in the establishment of architectural standards.
  • Anticipating industry, technology, and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise business strategy, direction, and technical direction.

 
Required:
 

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science/business administration or related field is required; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • 7 to 10+ years of experience in at least two IT disciplines (such as technical architecture, solution architecture, network management, application development, middleware design, information analysis, database management or operations management).
  • 7 to 10+ years’ experience in leadership/technical management roles.
  • Substantive experience building enterprise architecture roadmaps and future state modeling.
  • Substantive experience designing, integrating, and managing complex technical and infrastructure solutions and enterprise system cloud migrations.
  • Experience with business process and performance modeling.
  • Executive level presentation skills.
  • Qualified candidates must have strong technical leadership and problem-solving skills, comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering and related integrations and comprehensive knowledge of cloud-based web delivery, microservices, and associated technologies.
