The Enterprise Architect role drives business and technical capability definition and development in our Digital Platforms space. The role partners with Enterprise Architects, Business Solution Architects, Technical Architects, business partners, and external service providers to assess the technology landscape, identify future capabilities, define architecture and strategy and partner closely with the implementation teams to drive strategy adoption. The role is expected to challenge the teams to think differently to achieve desired business outcomes, foster culture of quality, and mentor other employees to develop architecture expertise.  
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
•Assess the current state digital architecture landscape across system boundaries including Customer facing eCommerce Portals, Sales Tools, analytics systems, integration tools and backend (ERP, CRM) systems.
•Proactively engage with business and Global IT partners to identify and define opportunities for development of future digital capabilities.
•Make recommendations for development of the eCommerce Architecture including advanced techniques for Data Integration and Localization, multichannel, mobile application development, API development and adoption of Cloud technologies.
•Align the e-Commerce Platform with the broader Information Centric Enterprise Architecture strategy.  
•Develop options for transformation of the Digital Ecosystem to the future state architecture
•Working closely with the project teams and EPMO to ensure alignment of development and deployment activities with the technical solution architecture design.
•Foster culture of quality an “sift left” approaches to architecture and development  
•Facilitate the execution of the Solution Selection Process with business solution, data, and technology architects; ensure alignment to enterprise standard solutions and define new solutions to meet business capability needs.
•Ensure all solution architecture design and analysis work within the Architecture Definition Document is documented and included in the architecture repositories.
•Conduct Technology Risk Assessment and Architecture Readiness Reviews for key Digital platform initiatives
•Act as role model by “living” and demonstrating core competencies and values
Basic Qualifications:
Role Location:  Minneapolis, Minnesota U.S. or ability to travel to Mounds View 25% of the time
Education Required:
•A relevant B.A. or B.S. (or higher) degree.
      Or relevant years of experience
10+ years of IT or related experience with B.A. or B.S.; 8+ years of IT experience with M.A. or M.S.
•5+ years of experience aligned to a relevant architecture discipline (integrations, data, services, infrastructure)
Knowledge Required:
•5+ years working in customer facing Leadership role in Digital Technologies/ECommerce Architecture      3+ years of experience and strong knowledge of Enterprise-class architecture concepts, definition, and creation
•Strong B2B ECommerce Experience, including background in building and integrating B2B and B2C ECommerce Portals  
•Experience with integration patterns and latest data integration approaches for Big-Data
•Experience building out an API based architecture focused on re-use
•Experience working in, fostering and enabling Agile frameworks and execution models (DevOps, Shift Left thinking)
•Experience with moving E-Commerce workloads between hosted, on-prem and Cloud deployments
•5+ years of experience with Java or .Net technologies  
•3+ years of experience with one or more of the following: Hybris, Adobe Experience Manger (or equivalent content management system) mobile application development  
•Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to translate technical information into business terms (e.g., ability to explain complex technical solutions and architecture strategies to non-technical resources)
•Excellent leadership and teamwork skills          
Preferred Qualifications:
•Advanced degree in Computer Science or business-related discipline
•High degree of ‘learning agility’ with the ability to readily consume and apply new information and concepts with developed analytical problem-solving skills
• 3+ years of experience working with large enterprise ERP data models
• 3+ years of experience in business capability, process, technology, and data modeling
• Knowledge in user experience modeling, information design, and concept generation
• Certifications in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or other service and control frameworks, such as ITIL or COBIT
• Strong business acumen, decision making, and influence skills across all levels of an organization
•  Strong communication skills, including with employees, clients, senior management and vendors
•  Strong results orientation (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.)
•  Ability to work collaboratively and partner with employees, leaders, clients, and vendors
•  Demonstrated ability to work in a global, virtual organization
•  Technology depth and credibility with technical staff
•  Work experience in the Medical Device Industry, or other regulated industry
•  Ability to mentor and develop business, architecture, and technical resources
•  Able to work independently as well as cooperatively
