Modis is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a full-time contract position with a Fortune 200 insurance company in greater Buffalo. Company is the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurer, providing commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, personal accident and supplemental health insurance, reinsurance and life insurance, with offices in over 50 countries. Position is an office environment and duties include assisting the team with general clerical and administrative duties.
Title: Administrative Assistant
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM (40 hours per week)
Location: Airborne Parkway, Cheektowaga NY 14225    
3-month contract
- Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.
- Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other documents.
- File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
- Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and emails.
- Prepare responses to correspondence containing routing inquiries.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience required
- Verbal and written communication

- Interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and manage one’s time
- Able to keep information organized and confidential
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Able to pass a background check
