Modis IT has an immediate job opening for an Entry-Level Desktop Support job in Houston, TX with a Fortune 100 company that is known globally as a leader in the Information Technology industry.We are looking for a technician with the skill set outlined below who is looking to make a commitment to a 5-month contract. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to remain current with changing technology as it relates to Customer Support
  • Troubleshooting abilities consisting of Windows XP - 10 operating systems, network infrastructure, network configuration and PC hardware
  • Knowledgeable in hardware, operating systems and networking
  • Install new / rebuild existing PC’s configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, among others
  • Knowledge of wireless networking and VPN technologies
  • Hardware break/fix maintenance and support
  • Imaging experience
  • Experience using a ticketing system, remote software, Active Directory

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • 6 months - 1 year Desktop Support experience
  • Excellent logical and problem solving-skills
  • Have exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Be able to work independently as well as in a group setting
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Industry certifications preferred but not required
