We're seeking a top drawer candidate for this top drawer client!
 
We aren't looking for a basic administrator, we want someone with the confidence to OWN this environment. This is a highly visible consulting role, and requires technical skill as well as strong client interface and collaboration abilities.
 
Responsible for providing Exchange infrastructure support, which includes installation, implementation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintaining all aspects of hardware, DAGs, Office365 (Exchange), Hybrid Exchange, On-premise Exchange, Microsoft Operating Systems, and supported infrastructure software.  Assist in software product installations, updates, and customizations for Exchange infrastructure.  Diagnose, research and resolve Exchange issues using vendor resources and other support methods.  Act as a technical advisor for system related activity and assist in the development / implementation of solutions for performance.  
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
• Daily Administration of enterprise systems running Exchange including but not limited to performing system health checks, monitoring performance, analyzing event logs, running reports and other activities related to Exchange management in an enterprise network environment.
• Monitor problem queue for Exchange environment, identify and resolve issues in the server environment.
• Maintain Exchange environments in cloud, on-premise, and hybrid.
• Interfaces with Legal team for legal holds in Exchange.  
• Analyze and resolve problems escalated from Desktop Support staff.
• Identify root causes on server hardware and operating system issues, download, order and replace necessary files, components and/or parts as needed.
• Interface with Desktop Support staff to communicate the status of problems.
• Interface with management to identify training opportunities and report on system status.
• Identify, recommend and participate in changes to environment that impact the user community including but not limited to Service Packs, Upgrades, Patches, Vulnerabilities, and related tasks.
• Research, analyze, recommend and develop methods to increase productivity and reduce downtown for the user community.
• Participate in projects as required and utilize standard project management methodologies.
• Install server hardware and operating systems and related utilities and assist with server and parts inventory as needed.
• Adhere to standard configuration for servers and recommends changes as needed for improved server performance or management.
• Enable clients to interface with various applications (ie software pushes, application picks, system updates, etc)
• Identify the need for and assist with the documentation of processes and procedures.
• Participate in the 24 hour on call rotation and respond to server related issues after hours.
• Assist management as needed with various tasks that enable the overall IT department to function efficiently.
• Proficiency with problem management, change management and asset management systems.
• Keep current with the latest virtual technology trends and innovations to meet the client’s requirements
• Know the “best practices” when providing a solution to the client
