The role
In this key role, the Financial & Inventory Analyst is responsible for the coordination of all product cost within the manufacturing operations. This individual is responsible for the maintenance of the standard cost system; review and analysis of monthly production transactions; oversee inventory reporting and reconciliations; coordination of the annual physical inventory process, and monthly financial closing process with respect to manufacturing operations.

Key performance areas

Maintain global standard costs (item cost roll-ups) for all products
Oversee the compilation and review of weekly and monthly inventory balances
Analyze global inventory data by product line sub-categories for comments used in monthly reviews and communication to leadership
Analyze production variances and communicate results to manufacturing leaders
Full responsibility for physical inventory coordination and execution including a review of inventory results along with potential process improvements
Responsible for monthly and quarterly close process with respect to the manufacturing sub-ledger including but not limited to inventory balances and obsolescence reserves
Compile and review monthly obsolescence reserves with product management and other key stakeholders
Integral part of yearly budget process with regards to developing the following year’s product cost, which includes uploading standards into the Oracle ERP system
Ad-hoc product cost and margin reporting as needed by senior leadership
Provide and review inventory account information with external auditors to ensure proper audit compliance
Prepare monthly account reconciliation for all inventory and inventory reserve balance sheet accounts
Lead liaison between Finance and IT for Oracle and GL Wand implementation, training and problem resolution
Maintain GL Wand mapping tables and provide support for GL Wand report creation

Your profile

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting and Finance or other related field required
Minimum of (3-5) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or a related field
CPA or other professional association certification is a plus but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
Working knowledge of Oracle or related MRP/ERP system
Ability to use Business Objects for data management and analysis
Knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing a plus
Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive problems to resolution
Good written and oral communication skills
Must be able to present data to Sr. Leadership in a clear concise manner
Ability to keep detailed records
Attention to detail
Able to analyze, prioritize and manage multiple tasks
