A Full-Time Direct Hire FPGA Engineer in DSP job in Palo Alto, CA is currently available through Modis Engineering, formally Adecco Engineering and Technology.

We are looking for a FPGA Engineer with experience in implementing a variety of digital signal processing algorithms into FPGAs on complex optoelectronic systems to lead the design, development & validation of our DSP products.

FPGA Engineer job responsibilities include:

As a FPGA Electrical Engineer, you will take a part in the design and development of novel digital signal processing algorithms targeting Xilinx Kintex and Zynq FPGA platforms.
You will participate in all aspects of the development process. This includes: FPGA architecture definition, code simulation, RTL development and verification, hardware validation and testing.
You will have the opportunity to implement & validate superior new algorithms made possible only with entirely new input dimensions that change the solution landscape


2-5 years of design and RTL implementation of digital signal processing algorithms.
Extensive experience in choosing and optimizing DSP algorithms (ex: Polyphase filters, Digital down converters, FFT, digital filters, CORDIC, trig functions, cross-correlations, etc).
Experience with optimizing design on the latest Xilinx technology and Vivado tools.
Expert in Matlab and Simulink software.
Proficient with hardware descriptor languages such as Verilog or VHDL.
Knowledge in DDR3/DDR4 memory interfaces.
Experience with communication systems theory is a plus.
Experience with interfacing and processing high speed ADCs (> 1 GSPS) is a plus.
