Full Stack Developer
Job Summary:
The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of moderate to highly-complex solutions that address the informational and analytical needs of the Sales and Account Management Product team. Primary responsibilities will include integration across technologies and applications, solution design, data architecture, application development, user interface development, and system testing.
Essential Responsibilities:
System Development Life Cycle
• Designing, developing and implementing technical systems in a web based application
• Responsible for delivering robust, resilient and secure solutions
• Applying best practices to come up with database designs to meet or exceed business needs including, but not limited to, physical databases, schemas, table structures, indexes, partitioning, data marts, program structure, batch processing, performance, etc.
• Advanced development and architecture design patterns
• Research and contribute towards enterprise technology decisions
• Leverage APIs and frameworks to integrate, design and build enterprise web applications
Information Protection
• Participate in establishing, reviewing and maintaining IT and data security policies and procedures in conjunction with team members
• Work closely and cooperatively with other staff members involved with information security and privacy issues
• Participate in ensuring security compliance with governmental regulatory requirements (when applicable)
• Ensure all systems are used for management-approved purposes only and application security protects the proprietary nature of the data
• Experience with In-Memory Business Intelligence Tools, preferably with Qlik or Analysis Services and an advanced understanding of associative database technology (1-3 years)
• Experience working closely with a JavaScript application development team (3-5 years preferred)
• SQL tuning & performance (3-5 years preferred)
• Experience with JAVA, JavaScript, REACT and AJAX (3-5 years ears preferred)
• Experience with batch processing, bulk techniques, bulk collections, bulk exceptions and partitioning, and real time data management
• Experience working on an agile development team
• Experience using source control software such as Git
• Experience using Continuous Integration software such as Bamboo
• Experience using issue tracking software such as Jira
• Experience in high availability (24×7) and high throughput transactional systems
• Healthcare insurance industry a plus
• Expert web based application development
• Demonstrated ability to develop alternative solutions to complex problems and recommend the best solution to the business and project team
• Demonstrated advanced analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Demonstrate experience in querying data in SQL and utilizing an enterprise size database in a data driven environment
• Expert knowledge of SQL and advanced database design techniques
• Strong knowledge and use of SDLC methodologies, standards, and procedures with experience in promoting changes from development through production environments
• Ability to create functional requirements and technical designs from business requirements, and effectively communicate technical decisions to non-technical staff
• Experience working in a team environment and able to collaborate efficiently
• Interest or prior experience in supporting NoSQL data structures a plus
Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
• Knowledge of healthcare payer and national sales and account management strategies and information requirements strongly considered
• Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex data sets
• Data visualization practices and development
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities/projects maintaining alignment to team priorities
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.  Work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
