A Functional Software Manager job in the Tampa, FL area is available courtesy of Modis Engineering.

You must be proficient in embedded firmware development process and methods: C++, micro controllers, communication protocols and the Internet of things (IoT)

You will oversee the resources (6-8) in the SW Engineering group.
You will direct the technical work of the team
You will provide technical support for the project from the software perspective

Functional Software Manager job responsibilities include:
• Provide subject matter expertise
• Coordinate projects with EE and ME Manager
• Performance reviews
• Work closely with the global design leadership team

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree required. Master degree preferred
• 5 – 7 years of experience required
• Software development experience in at least one of these areas: telecom, data-com, IoT device, security,
wireless, consumer electronics, or automotive.
• Educate and equip the software engineers with the proper process knowledge and technical
