Role:  
 
Manage a globally distributed team that administrators, monitors and maintains continuous improvement of operations, along with the design and architecture of the global network and telecommunications infrastructure.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 


  • Provide technical leadership for the definition, design, and implementation of new network infrastructure components and services. Maintain overall platform stability, security, and supportability.
  • Maintain full end-to-end suite of standard industry processes and tools necessary to provide an effective & efficient service. Own and drive the overall performance measurement & reporting of services.
  • Lead development and implementation of end-state architecture and associated roadmaps for network and voice services.
  • Drive technology cost-reduction. Continuously optimize infrastructure to reduce operational costs. Provide technical oversight and consulting to other internal groups or business areas ensuring the solutions effectively leverage existing capabilities and services.
  • Negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) and operational level agreements (OLAs) relating to the service with business & internal IT teams.
  • Set the direction, pace & targets for team to seek improvements in services & drive efficiencies.

 
Qualifications /Certifications
 

  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) – Strongly Desired
  • CCIE or CCNP (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) or (Cisco Certified Network Professional) – Strongly Desired
  • ITIL (ITIL – set of detailed practices for IT service management) – Strongly Desired
  • COBIT (framework – develop, implement monitor/improve IT governance and management practices) – Desired

 
Required Work Experience:
 

  • Leading the development and implementation of strategy and change plans that cross multiple information technology functions and an international geography.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of network infrastructure operations and engineering experience
  • A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience managing a network engineering team
  • Seasoned leader with strong technology experience including functional and domain knowledge.
  • Complex strategic transformation experience, such as globalization, outsourcing and internal IT process re-engineering of ITIL/ITSM processes.
  • Management of diverse teams including FTE, managed services, and consultants across geographies.
  • Broad knowledge of LAN, WAN, voice and video technologies (e.g., routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, network and routing protocols, SDN, DNS, VoIP and their related traffic patterns).
  • Extensive knowledge of data network architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols.
  • Experience in migration to cloud technologies for IaaS, PaaS for internal private and external public consumption.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors).

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in technical or business discipline or related experience
