Modis is currently seeking a Hardware Engineer for our client based in Beaverton, OR. You will be working with a cross-functional team, responsible for the design of commercial audio and video applications. You should have at least 5 years' experience in designing and developing analog and digital hardware. This is a full-time position.


Job Responsibilities

Design digital and analog circuits for audio and video applications
Develop test and verification plans for new products based on requirements
Create schematics and layout PCBs
Construct BOMs, estimate costs of new products
Ensure products are manufactured efficiently by working with procurement, manufacturing and test departments

Qualifications:

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering and minimum 5 years' relevant experience in designing and developing analog and digital hardware
Strong knowledge of analog design for audio applications
Strong understanding of medium-speed (50-500MHz) signal integrity concepts
Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as UL, CE, FCC, RoHs and WEEE
Knowledge of serial communications protocols and hardware interfaces including I2S, I2C, SPI and Ethernet
Knowledge of ADC/DAC design and implementation concepts
Background in using various test equipment for debugging and analysis
