RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:
 
• Provides technical support to users for moderately complex computer related technical problems on a primary account
• Acts as customer service lead/account specialist
• Provides back-up assistance on other accounts
• Answers help desk telephones for assigned account(s) and responds to moderately complex customer inquiries to ensure customer needs are met
• Assists the customer in resolving complex technical problems on a primary account by providing guidance regarding software and hardware problems
• Resolves or refers highly complex technical problems as appropriate
• Follows up with customers to ensure that customer inquiries are resolved within the contracted or agreed upon time frame
• Logs and tracks inquiries using a problem management database and maintains history records and related problem documentation
• Identifies, evaluates, and prioritizes customer problems and complaints to ensure that inquiries are successfully resolved
• Analyzes and evaluates inquiry/problem reports and makes recommendations to reduce help desk call rates
 
REQUIREMENTS:
 
 
  Basic / Required Qualifications
 
• High School Diploma with 5 to 7 years’ experience
• Tech Support Experience
• Help Desk Experience
• Supporting Custom Software
• Expert Customer Service Experience
• Ticketing system experience


  • Experience with Red hat 6.1
  • Configuration/troubleshooting of Linux OS
  • Installing and imaging of Linux OS
  • Knowledge of Linux commands in standalone and enterprise environment
  • Enterprise experience with NIS/YUM command
  • RH Cert is a big plus
  • Experience with Yellow page password changing

Experience with SUDO accounts
