HR and Benefits Administrator job in Danbury, CT is available through Modis Engineering. You will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing facility with HR duties accounting for 50% of the role, and benefits administration accounting for the remaining 50%.


Benefits Responsibilities

Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits questions, policies, procedures, and programs to ensure quick and courteous resolution
Update Payroll/HRIS for employee benefit elections, deductions and EOI approvals
Assist with the annual benefits open enrollment
Interact (in person, email and by phone) with employees and multiple third-party administrators
Manage 401(k) deferral, loan, and status changes from 401(k) provider

HR Responsibilities:

Support HR practices and objectives that ensure quality, productivity, goal attainment, and the recruitment, retention and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Assist with the development and conducts employee and management training and development programs, coordinates performance management, manages the employee accommodation and leave programs, and recruitment for the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) preferred plus a minimum of two years experience in benefits administration and Human Resources
Strong background administering FMLA, Leave of Absence, EAP COBRA, 401(k), and Workers compensation plans.
Strong knowledge and understanding of all benefit programs (e.g., Life, Disability, medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, 401(k), ESPP and Voluntary benefits).
Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office Suite with emphasis on MS Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to display understanding of organizational culture and practices, and incorporate organizational awareness into decision making
Experience with Training and Development, Performance Management, and Recruitment
Human Resources certification preferred
