Modis is searching for a Human Resource Manager on behalf of our client to support and contribute to their rapidly expanding, ever-changing company in the chemical manufacturer area.  This position would support both the Dayton and Decatur, TN plant operations and will sit in the Dayton, TN office.
The Ideal candidate would be a professional with proven knowledge of employee relations, performance management, compliance with federal and state laws, and compensation and benefits administration.

  • Performs a variety of day-to-day administrative Human Resources functions including Compensation, benefits, employee relationships, wellness, and performance management
  • Responsible for recruitment process along with coordinating plant staffing needs
  • Making sure onboarding process is done accurately including background checks, pre-employment drug screens for all new hires
  • Responsible for keeping training records up to date
  • Employee file management
  • Employee disciplinary process
  • Assist with employee timekeeping
  • Handle worker’s compensation claims

Job Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of proven experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Previous experience working within a safety program preferred
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ect)
  • Maintain knowledge concerning OSHA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA regulations
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively consult at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, human resources, or related field preferred
  • Passion for benefits administration, claims resolution, contract administration, and knowledge of benefit regulations
