An Industrial Electrician job in High Point, NC is available through Modis Engineering. This is a direct hire position with a well-established manufacturing company that is seeking to add  electrical talent to their Maintenance Team. The ideal Industrial Electrician will possess technical training in the electrical/electronic field, and previous experience working in a similar capacity. The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of industrial machinery and facilities throughout the plant.
 
Responsibilities of the Industrial Electrician include but are not limited to:
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain all manner of electrical components, systems and fixtures
- Use computer system to perform diagnostics on electronic components and PLC systems, including ladder logic
- Perform work from blueprints, sketches, or specs
- Replace blown fuses
- Inspect, clean, lubricate and repair motors
- Maintain power, light and alarm wiring systems
- Read electrical schematics
- Troubleshoot industrial control systems, AC/DC variable speed motors and drives
- Basic IP networking
 
In order to qualify for the Industrial Electrician position candidates must possess:
- High school diploma or GED
- Journeyman or AAS in Electrical Technology preferred
- 1+ year(s) of experience as an Industrial Electrician
- Strong PLC troubleshooting experience required
- 1+ year(s) of experience with cutting and conveyor equipment
- LEL knowledge/calibration experience
 
This is a first shift job opportunity! Hours are 5:00am-2:30pm, or 7:00am-3:30pm
