Information Security Specialist        
6 month Contract to Hire

Job Description:
• Provides technical support of activities, processes, and tools for protecting technology-based information.   
• Reviews circumstances surrounding data security incidents and designs corrective actions.
• Documents security policies and procedures.  
• Provides implementation support for risk assessment and data security procedures and products.  
• Maintain an understanding of the current vulnerabilities, response, and mitigation strategies used in security operations.  
• Correlate data from intrusion detection & prevention systems w/data from sources to identify misuse, malware or unauthorized activity on networks.
• Communicate & escalate issues/incidents required by process/management.  
• Support Executive Reporting and Metric Reporting activities.
