An Instructional Designer job with a leading Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing Company located in the Santa Clara area is available courtesy of Modis Engineering. This position will involve creating online MOOC style courses for employees and extended enterprise of our client.
Will involve working with Subject Matter Experts and help in knowledge capture and provide thought leadership on Instructional design. Develop learning objectives, map content, define activity types, and create assessment items.

Instructional Designer job responsibilities include:

* Strong project management skills to organize and manage multiple projects, including the ability to re-scale solutions as system, scope and/or timelines change
* The platform our client uses internally for developing the courses is called appliedx which is based on Open edX. Your background will enable you to work in close partnership with external and internal instructors to perform operational tasks with our Open edX platform. You do not need direct experience with the Open edX platform but it would be a bonus. Experience with e-learning courses will also help you get up to speed quickly. Most important is your ability to learn new tools and programs so that you can be the expert. You will be responsible for performing several course creation, construction and release tasks

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred with 3+ year experience in instructional design, ideally with online course creation

Knowledge of training theories and principles, including adult learning theory and established industry models of evaluation. Knowledge of and ability to apply a consultative approach to determine training needs


Outstanding ability to collaborate with others when needed to ensure project success


Knowledge of and experience with training development methods, including needs assessment and instructional design for online training


Knowledge of training theories and principles, including adult learning theory and established industry models of evaluation such as ADDIE, Kirkpatrick’s model etc.


The desire and ability to learn more, try something new and embrace change
