Job Duties:
 
The IT Trainers role is to develop, implement, and maintain training programs related to both system and process training within the organization.  In this role, the IT Trainer will work with the IT Managers, IT project teams (PM’s, BA’s, BSA’s, etc.), and Business Units to execute job duties.  The IT Trainer will also provide end user support by responding to inquiries and problems related to software applications.
Essential Functions
• Develop, implement, and maintain training programs for the organizations’ critical systems and related business processes including, but not limited to, Microsoft GP, Microsoft CRM, Alert, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Catalog and maintain training manuals for software applications
• Write training materials including manuals, how to documents, quick reference guides, learning labs, eLearning tutorials, quizzes, and certification scenarios
• Utilize video recording and editing software to create and produce eLearning tutorials
• Manage training materials and curriculum on both the SharePoint Training Site and within the Learning Management System (LMS)
• Effectively conduct training in both web-based and classroom training environments
• Collaborate with the IT Managers, IT project team (PM’s, BA’s, BSA’s, etc.) and Business Partners to determine training objectives and delivery methods
• Develop and execute training plans
• Measure training participants’ progress and performance by utilizing reporting tools within LM Sand Web/Audio/Video Conference applications
• Write and disseminate IT Training Communications related to software upgrades and implementations
• Field incoming problem tickets from internal employees regarding training on application and software issues
• Assist with troubleshooting issues related to software applications
• Assist with the project management associated with maintaining and implementing software applications
• Assist with the testing of new and upgraded software applications and hardware
 
Required Qualifications:
 
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Communications, Education, or equivalent experience is required
• 2 or more years of technical experience is preferred
• 4 or more years of training experience is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly self-motivated and self-directed
• Strong customer service orientation
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Ability to effectively prioritize assigned work
• Ability to manage multiple training efforts at one time
• Strong attention to detail
