Are you a Security Analyst looking for your next great role?  We have a great fortune 500 client of ours in Omaha Nebraska that is looking to expand their application security team.
Our Client is looking for a seasoned and talented I/S Security individual with technical expertise and strong communication skills to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment. The candidate will get the opportunity to work with multiple business areas across numerous technical environments.
Essential Job Functions:
•Understand application security practices/methodologies.
•Identify, develop, and implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance to security policies.
•Participate in internal and external IT audits.
•Participate in project design processes, consulting on security related architecture and alternatives.
•Develop and maintain security standards and processes, specifically related to Application Security practices.
•Gather security related information from multiple sources across varying technology environments and report to management.
•Consult with application developers/owners from an application security perspective.
•This position requires sitting over 66% of the time.
•This position requires Visual Acuity at 20 inches (or less) over 66% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Research, compile and evaluate information used in the development, enhancement, or maintenance of a system/support process to satisfy business needs.
•Articulate and advocate Information Systems security, privacy and technical ideas within the Company.
•Use inclusion, awareness and leadership skills rather than authority to accomplish results.
•Review, document, and act to ensure computer environments meet security and privacy policies.
•Use a broad variety of security tools, processes, and procedures to maintain a secure environment with emphasis on Application Security.
•Passion for learning about new technologies and emerging security threats.
•Identify, summarize, review, and report potential/actual actions that jeopardize the company's data privacy and/or security on technology environments.  Specifically, Application Vulnerabilities.
•Working knowledge of multiple software platforms – Windows, UNIX, Mainframe.
•Develop reporting and processes for application security. Support the development of technical and non-technical security designs to satisfy business requirements.
•Previous experience with Application Security and its methodologies required to include: •Continuous Integration/Delivery
•Web Application Design
•Mobile Application Design
•OWASP and other application security testing background
•Vulnerability Management Processes
•Consult on company-wide projects/activities where security needs are identified; review all proposals and design documents for security inclusion.
Strong communication skills, demonstrating ability to:
•Simplify complex security information for varying levels of technical and business audiences.
•Simplify complex security information to multiple levels of management.
Preferred Qualifications:
•CISSP/GSEC or equivalent certification is preferred or willing to pursue.
•College degree (or equivalent work experience) in Information Security, Computer Science or Information Systems is preferred.
•Previous experience on Mainframe platform preferred.
•Previous experience with a variety of Application Security tools and methodologies is preferred.
