This IT Generalist Job is to satisfy the immediate need of one of our most reputable clients located in Downtown Seattle. Are you a jack of all trades when it comes to IT? Do you want to have your hands in all parts of a company's IT infrastructure? If so, you have come to the right place!
 
Our client is urgently seeking an individual who will be responsible for the management of all their day-to-day technological needs. They will also provide operational support to users, and ensure availability, stability, and security of all systems and IT infrastructure platforms. You will also oversee all IT, POS, and AV needs for our client while providing outstanding customer service to ensure applications perform in line with business needs, and that any issues are addressed expeditiously.
 
Responsibilities:
 


  • Ensure pre-opening walk-throughs are done to confirm that all systems are operational prior to the attraction opening.
  • Provide technical support for applications including Ticketing and POS hardware/software.
  • Working with 3rd part system providers, diagnose issues and address them
  • Consistently maintain software applications.
  • Maintain a high level of system support to end-users at all times.
  • Ensure replacement of defective POS, related hardware and AV equipment
  • Ensure an inventory of all POS and AV hardware and network devices is maintained and ensure broken equipment is repaired/replaced.
  • Ensure all technical support issues are logged in Legends ticketing system
  • Work with partners on implementation, maintenance and support of desktop, network and server infrastructure components.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and adhere to all organizational technology standards.
  • Responsible for communicating/promoting IT standards and ensuring they are followed in their facility.
  • Assist with the setup for special events.
  • Ensure good systems documentation is maintained.

 
Requirements:
 

  • High School Diploma or GED required with relevant work experience.
  • Associated Degree in a technology related field preferred.
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification desired.
  • Minimum 2 years of Service Desk Support.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in supporting PC and/or POS system hardware.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting including TCP/IP.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot AV equipment and systems - i.e. projection systems, display devices, AV control systems, digital signage preferred.
  • 1-3 years of application support experience in an environment with more than 100 users.
  • The ideal candidate for this position will be performance driven, have outstanding interpersonal skills, and a strong knowledge of the technical requirements above.
  • Eagerness to work in an ever-evolving, diverse environment and a commitment to accept ownership and responsibility for the IT infrastructure to ensure its success twenty-four hours a day seven days a week.
  • Excellent verbal, written and influencing skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
  • Must be flexible to work both weekends and to work before, during and after all events (including late nights and weekends).
