Modis is seeking to fill a Senior IT Manager- Manufacturing Production Systems job in Sanford, NC. The ideal candidate will have IT Manufacturing environment experience (not required). This role is hands on and available to assist subordinates when needed. You will understand both business strategy and operational needs, align business strategy and IT technology roadmaps. Acts as the liaison between a central IT and business process owners. Provides oversight of plant IT and drives prioritization IT function.
 
Specific duties and responsibilities of the Senior IT Manager- Manufacturing Production Systems job include:
 
Primary responsibilities of this position are related IT system management, business relations, requirements, people and process management.
 
• Acts as a single point of contact for Information technology area for all the business needs
• Providing leadership to resolve technical errors or breakdown and providing valid solutions and recommendation to ensure all business operations runs smoothly
• Ensures the appropriate people are working the issue and the appropriate business team members are informed of the status
• Ensuring Service Level Agreement is well defined, communicated and consistently meeting expectations
• Maintaining on-going relationship with suppliers/vendors and conduct a cost-benefit analysis on all IT related projects to ensure maximum return on investment
• Participate actively in disaster recovery management and business continuity tests for critical classified software applications to ensure the daily operations is not interrupted due to system failures
• Ensuring privacy and security are protected with policy development and security mechanism
• Recommending information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
• Accomplishing financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action
• Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
• Ensures communication and coordination with leaders of other IT groups
• Maintains detailed knowledge of the key business processes and systems employed by the business
• Identifying process and performance metrics improvements
• Help ensure growth and success by providing mentoring and training in the established processes, policies and procedures, as well as the tools and templates
 
3. Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree in the field of engineering / computer science, or field with equivalent benefit
• 5 Years’ of management experience, working in IT for manufacturing companies
• Knowledge of Business processes and systems such as ERP / SAP, PLM, MES
• Knowledge on the SAP system with Cross functional knowledge is added value
• Ability to communicate complex problems in a non-technical simplified manner and in business impact terms
• Solves difficult problems with effective solutions using rigorous logic and methods
• Proven technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Expertise in running medium to large scale projects with excellent understanding of project management processes and procedures, analyst methodologies, best practices and change management
• Understanding of factory planning, production control, materials management, quality management is a beneficial
• Strong communication, leadership and coaching skills
• Provides direct, complete and “actionable” feedback to others, including those in management positions
• Capable of making tough decision on a timely basis
 
• Work independently, but under the direction of the Country Manager / NAFTA IT Director with significant interaction with the business lines and central IT organization.
