Bilingual Administrator (JAPANESE-ENGLISH)

This position provides translation/interpretation services to support a wide range of business situations and customers, such as, executive level, general associate, technical, and outside customer meetings. The position supports our Japanese Expat associates in their daily work interactions inside and outside of the facility and provides accurate, consistent translation of original texts to retain the content, meaning, and feeling of the original document. The Translator/Interpreter must develop trust and teamwork, while fostering an environment for continuous improvement and achievement for all associates. This position supports multiple projects and works with cross-functional teams to achieve total customer satisfaction.


Bachelor Degree preferably in related language, English, Manufacturing or other related area


Prefer a minimum of 2 years of experience as a technical translator/interpreter in an automotive setting

Skills Required:

Bi-lingual - both oral and written

Japanese at JLPT N3 Level

Strong simultaneous interpretation skills
Possess and exhibit strong, professional business interpersonal skills (active listening, conversational and written)
Must be able to adhere to a strict level of confidentiality and impartiality
Strong organizational, planning, and follow up skills
Highly flexible and adaptable to changing demands

Desired Skills:

Some experience as Translator or Interpreter
Ability to learn and utilize different computer software
Automotive experience
