We're seeking a Java Developer for a contract to hire role with our direct client in Reston, VA.
Role: Software engineer (Java developer)
Term: Six months contract to hire

Loc.: Reston
Clearance:  None required but must be able to convert to full-time employment without requiring visa sponsorship
The Software Engineer performs system design, development and unit testing work with technical areas in JEE, JSF, Eclipse IDE, iBATIS, Spring Framework, Oracle DB and ETL, tools like Eclipse IDE, JIRA, SQL Developer; works with other developers, analysts and testers to develop project estimates, as well as outline necessary tasks and schedules; works together with other team members in developing software solutions by studying information needs, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development lifecycle; communicates the status of projects to Project Manager and development leads; documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience: Bachelor’s degree plus minimum 6 years’ JEE experience OR Master’s degree with minimum 4 years’ experience in JEE development.
Any software certification is a plus.
Working independently with minimal guidance is a plus.
