Position Title: Lead Sales Force Developer
 
Role:
•To lead and undertake the development of software solutions – executed directly by role holder and/or by Developers assigned to the team
•To undertake detailed design activity to produce the required technical specifications, configuration and customization designs  
•To undertake code development, configuration and testing
•To ensure that high quality code, configuration and customization is developed, tested and deployed in accordance with requirements and acceptance criteria
•To lead end user demonstrations, working with end users, solution architects and business consultants to ensure end user functionality and experience is achieved
•To take an end to end view of the overall system, making recommendations, and developing a systems and process evolution roadmap
 
 
Required:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered
•Expert knowledge of the Technologies used within the respective platform
•Demonstrable directly-related experience of software development in a commercial environment
•Good understanding of the business processes underpinned by the applications, technologies and system components
•Strong planning and solution delivery skills to enable sound scoping and sprint planning skills
•Detailed understanding of the technical architecture and software components that make up the applications under their control
•Strong coding and testing skills
•Very good team working skills applied to both internal development, supplier augmentation and third-party supplier services
•Experience of developing and running a team of developers – managing capacity, utilization and ensuring continuous development of technical skills
•Good understanding of agile practices, techniques and tools
•Sound understanding of the agile development life cycle particularly continuous testing and integration  
•Good understanding of testing methods and evidence of building solutions in way which allow them to be tested continuously as code is added or changed
•Good communication skills and ability to work with end users
•Minimum 24 months in design, coding and testing of the specific technologies/applications they are accountable for delivering workable software
•Excellent team management and stakeholder management skills to deliver solution services in a critical to business operational environment
•Minimum 4 years’ experience in software development
•Practical working experience of applying agile development approaches, methods, including release and sprint planning and execution
•Detailed Application understanding at the business and technical level
•Experience with project estimation
•Ability to work independently as well in a highly collaborative, team-based environment Proven ability to manage others and mentor junior staff
•Engaging with suppliers and operating successfully in a multi-source development environment
•Strong delivery track record
