A Maintenance Planner job in the Cleveland, OH area is available through Modis Engineering. The Maintenance Planner or Scheduler will work directly with Operations and the Maintenance Team Leaders to drive SAP-PM system integrity, maintenance work process improvements and long-term maintenance department vitality. They will be responsible for management of supplies, parts, and systems information for the Maintenance and Reliability Engineering Department. This includes MRO inventory material and record accuracy, maintenance cost accounting to ensure work order settlement, purchase order reconciliation, variance reporting/analysis, and ownership of maintenance execution metrics (stable ops program, key performance indicators. reporting and analysis, time entry program, equipment/PM data standardization, coordination with reliability engineering, operations, and maintenance leadership). The Maintenance Planner role requires a minimum of two years of experience in maintenance planning within an industrial manufacturing industry.
This is a 12-month role, with the possibility of going temp-to-hire, with a global leader.

Maintenance Planner job responsibilities include:

Support Maintenance and Operations Team Leaders with repair, replacement and preventative/predictive maintenance work oversight and coordination.
Facilitate various meetings to coordinate and communicate maintenance activities throughout the plant.
Assist Maintenance Team Leaders with work force assignments and supervision.
Coordination of maintenance jobs and projects with suppliers, vendors and internal/external resources.
Ensure proper documentation in SAP-PM including but not limited to Preventative Maintenance, new equipment additions, JTA’s, and spare parts.
Participates in plant safety, health and environmental programs.
Ensure effective maintenance performance by scheduling all work order types to minimize unplanned equipment failure.
Ownership of parts availability and return, equipment warranties, contract administration, vendor/supplier account settlement.
This role will interface with the maintenance, engineering, operations and sourcing teams to create value through standardization and simplification of our maintenance processes.


Two plus years of maintenance planning or maintenance scheduling/coordinating experience
SAP or similar computer system knowledge
Ability to lead, direct and motivate cross-functional teams
Ability to work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Data driven decision-making ability
Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Demonstrated documentation process and procedure adherence
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including influencing skills
Familiarity with OSHA and project management is a plus
