A Maintenance Team Leader job in Kansas City, KS is available through Modis. You must have two years on the job experience performing maintenance such as repair/rebuild and setup. In this role you will be responsible for efficient and effective utilization of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to ensure PM’s and work requests are properly prioritized and assigned.

Maintenance Team Leader job responsibilities include:
• Performs all duties in a safe manner, utilizing safety practices and procedures required and applicable law (e.g. OSHA, etc.), personal protective equipment, and incident reporting procedures.
• Manages the work order process through effective planning. This involves evaluating the work requests, converting work requests into work orders, prioritizing the work and ensuring that appropriate resources and necessary tools are made available to execute the work.
• Develops a process to assign new work orders, receive completed work orders and create follow-up work orders where necessary to maintain an up to date database.
• Develops a process to issue calendar PM work orders to Supervisors in a timely manner.
• Works with all maintenance personnel to help them understand the work order system and process for managing work orders assigned to them.
• Develops the maintenance schedule for weekly and weekend maintenance activities. This involves working with Supervisors and Area Managers to communicate and schedule weekend work orders.
• Monitors/Audits maintenance process systems to develop and report Key Performance Indicators.
• Works with Supervisors and Area Managers on projects aimed at Capacity and OEE improvement. These projects would require planning, procurement of parts and work order utilization through completion of work.
• Monitors for, and reports unusual occurrences to management.
• Maintains all equipment and facilities in a clean, orderly and operating condition.
• Assists Operations and Maintenance as required.
• Completes work orders as required.
• Must maintain skills training as required, regulations and permits.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Two years’ on-the-job experience performing maintenance such as repair/rebuild and set-up.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and document/presentation creation in Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Able to express basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic principles.
• Experience working with mechanical components and systems, motor, gearbox, bearing, driveshaft, sprockets, and roller chains, etc.
• Experience working with pneumatic systems, clutches, drive cylinders, valves, etc.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong planning and organizing skills
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Maintenance Planning and scheduling
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, installing equipment, and/or removing pneumatic, mechanical and electrical components.
• Experience with product line changeovers.
