A Direct Hire Manufacturing and Engineering Manager position is available in Saginaw, Michigan through Modis Engineering and Technology!

Our client in Saginaw, Michigan is looking to to add a Manufacturing and Engineer Manager to help with their continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree in Industrial Engineering, OPS Management or related field and possess 5 years of multi-plant maintenance management, project management experience and experience in the supervision of skilled-trades and Engineering personnel.

In this position you will be responsible for:

Managing a Maintenance Group resulting in equipment uptime (OEE) at 85% minimum.
Develop, implement, and sustain world-class equipment and facilities maintenance policies and procedures (TPM, WO system, Autonomous Maintenance, etc.) across entire enterprise.
Provide tactical support to the OPS Group with regard to equipment uptime enabling improved operational metrics via direct supervision of the Maintenance, Facilitates, and Process Engineering Groups.
Work strategically with Operations, HR, and other departments to establish optimal equipment and facilitates performance standards.
Consistently implement and sustain equipment uniformity and Best Practices throughout the company and Exceptional Metals operations while establishing a feedback mechanism to leverage Best Practices.
Develop and execute CAPEX plans to ensure near-term productivity requirements are satisfied and mitigate long-term supply risk and maintain a competitive edge.
Monitor manufacturing trends to support new product growth.
Develop, manage, and sustain Maintenance Apprentice Program to ensure long-term staffing of the department.
Manage Process Engineering Group establishing operating policies and target metrics for group.
Assist with continuous improvement efforts.
Development of contingency and disaster reaction plans in cooperation with Supply-Chain, OPS, Sales and Finance as required.


Qualifications:

Four-year degree in Industrial Engineering, OPS Management, Engineering or related discipline required.
At least 5 years of multi-plant maintenance management, project management experience, and supervision of skilled-trades and Engineering personnel.
Proficient in Microsoft office products including Project Manufacturing ERP knowledge, specifically ERP-based Maintenance applications supporting electronic WO systems and data-mining experience to develop machine uptime and repair histories.
Demonstrated TPM experience, multi-plant maintenance management experience
CAPEX planning/project experience
Excellent interpersonal, written, and spoken communication skills
Outstanding problem solving, multitask, and analytical abilities
