Primary responsibility will be the management multiple market research programs, including custom research, competitor and market intelligence, and database analytics. This individual has the ability to mine large datasets and deliver insights and recommend actions based on information about customers, competitors and the market.

The position conducts marketing research and proposes recommendations to business units, market/ product managers, and other key decision-makers. Routine tracking and analysis of critical trends and market indicators and adding value in the form of insightful analysis and actionable recommendations are key deliverables.
Execute data analysis using fund-level data to determine relevant trends in products and market share. Experience using 3rd party fund databases such as Morningstar Direct and eVestment desired.
Manage primary survey research projects and perform analysis. Survey research topics may include brand equity and custom research topics related to investment management.
Interact with internal associates to gather internal information relevant to issues researched and work closely with project sponsors to ensure value-added information and interpretation is delivered.
Respond to information requests from Sales, Product and Management teams
Communicate in written reports and oral presentations the findings of research efforts, and recommend strategies for action.
Oversee the work of outside vendors, communicating project objectives and guidelines, and closely monitoring quality to ensure the client's standards are met.
Assume an active role in identifying strategically important issues to research and propose these projects to product managers and other key decision-makers.


Technical Skills / Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
Financial services experience; strong business acumen demonstrated through roles of increasing responsibility.
10+ years strong written, oral communication and presentation skills with excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
5 years demonstrated ability to lead results-oriented initiatives through influence and collaboration among peers and senior executives.
Experience negotiating contracts and vendor agreements.


Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, Advanced Excel skill preferred.
Experience with fund database tools like Morningstar Direct and eVestment strongly preferred.
Data visualization experience preferred (Tableau).
