The Marketing Communications Consultant is to promote our client's internal financial consulting division by executing marketing strategies and communicating strategic initiatives to firm owners, financial advisors, and field staff. As a member of their Marketing and Communications team, the Marketing Communications Consultant works with internal departments such as compliance, supervision, product management, operations, recruiting, field compensation, and IT to determine needs and delivery requirements and then write, edit, and deliver a variety of marketing campaigns, field communications, presentations, and intranet articles.

  • Work with internal departments who initiate content requests; clarify the purpose of the content, key audiences and results required
  • Negotiating delivery date with internal client taking into account team resources, including Creative, Training, and Online Marketing
  • Writing, editing, and management of organizational communications and marketing collateral
  • Research content: Review marketing materials, contracts, supplementary materials and competitor information to understand the product, sales messages and positioning
  • Build presentations and/or rework existing presentations
  • Work effectively with internal clients including seeing written material through required changes/recommendations and final compliance approval – may involve negotiation in order to meet the client’s objectives

Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field required
  • 5 years' marketing and communications experience required, preferably in a financial services-related field
