A Material Operations job in Santa Clara, CA is available through Modis Engineering. Performs material planning and operational functions in a fast-paced Manufacturing environment. This is a 12-month contract position and pay is $28-32 an hour

Key Responsibilities

Background in parts management and procurement within the tech industry

Strong understanding of Logistics including tracking incoming orders, on-hand inventory, and consumed inventory

Proficient in using Microsoft Excel with clear understanding of pivot tables and Vlookup functions

Experience with Oracle and SAP software

Ability to lift 50 lbs or more on a regular basis. Assistance from others as needed. Ability to manage inventory using multiple databases such as Lotus notes, excel, sharepoint, TME

Ability to forecast parts orders for commonly used parts in lab

Can provide reporting on where parts are used with consumption rates

Strong communication skills. Written and verbal

Understanding that this is a very fast paced industry and requests need to be handled with a high sense of urgency

Possibly use personal transportation to move material between building locations in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. Other cities to pick up parts from suppliers as needed

Perform daily sweeps of lab system bays to pick up material and move to storage locations. Pick up, identify, record and store parts in storage locations
