In order to be a qualified candidate for this exciting opportunity you must have your Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field as well as 1-year experience in the field. You must also be willing to travel internationally.

Measurements Engineer job responsibilities include:

Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain understanding of the basic principles of current measurement systems.
• Provide technical training to plant employees on the theory, operation, of calibration of existing and new measurement systems.
• Be responsible for documentation of measurement equipment including machine specifications, SOP's, calibration procedures, etc.
• Design, coordinate and conduct round robin and/or R&R studies to understand existing gauge performance and to ensure measurement systems worldwide operate to the same capabilities.
• Assist with the development and implementation of new measurement systems. Includes working with plant personnel to understand requirements, identifying viable vendors to build equipment, providing technical support during construction of new gauge, and playing a key role in the checkout and commissioning of the system.
• Assure safety of operators and equipment through compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Provide day-to-day problem solving support to production, development and research operations.
• Understand client’s Intellectual property management processes and follow that process in documenting any intellectual property developed as part of a project
Role within group:
• Function as a technical team member or team leader on multiple projects.
• Technology owner for measurement system(s), responsibilities include:
o Assure quality and repeatability of a measurement process and product attribute resolution
o Technology transfer to domestic and international manufacturing plants
o Provide equipment understanding and apply with process understanding to integrate with manufacturing
o Provide hands-on technical training in problem solving
o Manage equipment supplier(s) to ensure performance and schedule
• Technology receiver for Development. Provide key link on measurement systems from early stage into manufacturing.
• Support the development and execution of plans to evaluate new technology or improvements in existing technology resulting in a superior product in terms of quality and/or cost
Travel: 25-40% travel, including international, required for this position

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical experience or equivalent experience (exceptional case)
• Minimum 1 years of experience in related work
• Track record of delivering results
• Demonstrated knowledge in a technical field
• Project team membership
Required Skills:
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Basic Programming capability in either VB.Net or C#
• Hands on experience with equipment installation
• Solid understanding of statistical methods / analysis of systems
• Data retrieval, plotting and analysis (primarily using Microsoft Excel)
• Strong process, systems and troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of measurement technology and testing methods
• Experience working with outside suppliers and machine integrators
Desired Skills:
• Experience in measurement system design
• Vision and free space optics understanding
• PLC programming
• Project management knowledge
• Experience with international travel
• Manufacturing Support or Operations
• Green Belt Certification
• Project Team Leadership
