A Mechanical Designer job in Middleborough, MA is available through Modis Engineering. To perform this job successfully the candidate must have 5+ years of experience designing in Autodesk Inventor. The main role would be to complete CAD models and documentation based upon input from engineers and company’s best practices.

Mechanical Designer job responsibilities include:
• Perform the essential duties of a CAD Design Drafter but for more complex assignments that require
independent decision making and action such as modifications within proven practice related to seal
designs, tolerances of fits, mechanism clearances, fabrication methods, and aesthetics.
• Demonstrate a high level of understanding in design for assembly and design for manufacturing.
• Apply standard components by reading and understanding specifications with a practical
knowledge of the behavior of common materials and mechanical components including fasteners,
bearings, couplings, etc.
• Perform other CAD/MRP resource related duties as required or as directed.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience using Autodesk required.
• Must be willing to work temporary with potential to convert to a direct hire.
• Fluency with Inventor for mechanic design, assemblies and plastic molded parts required
