A Mechanical Sustainability Engineer is available in Mt. Washington, Ky courtesy of Modis on a direct-hire basis. To be qualified for this position you will provide both reactive & proactive mechanical engineering support to manufacturing operations, quality assurance, and supply chain through troubleshooting existing design problems and identifying and correcting design/drawing related problems that cause difficulties, inefficiencies, or adds cost to existing products.

Sustainability Engineer Responsibilities:



1) Monitor, receive, & triage, all requests for engineering change and assign to appropriate engineer.
2) Interact with manufacturing operations, quality assurance, and supply chain personnel to define and solve manufacturing/design issues and/or design improvements.
3) Responsible for design revision, modification, optimization, improvements, and cost-reductions to existing products.
4) Creates redline drawings and directs CAD Designers in the preparation of detailed design drawings.
5) Consults with Product Design Engineer where appropriate to understand critical to function features or dimensions and or design intent for significant design changes.
6) Participates in engineering and general design review meetings, reviews meeting notations and makes necessary changes to facilitate manufacturing.



Sustainability Engineer Requirements;



1) 0-3 years related job experience.
2) Proficient in MS Office & Adobe Software products.
3) Proficient with Inventor, Vault Professional, & AutoCAD software.
4) Strong knowledge of PDM/PLM software systems a plus.
5) Strong knowledge of manufacturing a plus.
