Consultant Reports to: IT Business Services Manager
Contract: 6 Month + (Extention likely )
Location: Optional: Albany, Rochester, Buffalo or Syracuse
Type: Weekly pay - W2
General Position Summary:

  • The Business Project Manager will act as a strategic interface with assigned areas of the Business for the purpose of Business-IT strategic roadmap development and business project management.  
  • They will facilitate, and serve as a lead, for the planning and execution of initiatives to enable the Business to achieve objectives through the effective use of technology.
  • Candidates will interact closely with C level executives as the products are developed


  • Schedule Management - Prepares project schedule for deliverables, milestones / key dates, duration, work effort and resources.
  • Communications Management - Ensures Project artifacts / documents are updated and maintained on a regular basis.  Effectively communicates project status including risks, issues and overall status.
  • Project Leadership and Management - Provides project management leadership and direction to ensure successful, high quality delivery of project related goals, delivering the anticipated business value, providing a high degree of customer satisfaction while managing the traditional project constraints (scope / deliverables, schedule, cost, quality, and project resources).
  • Team Building - Builds and maintains effective relationships with project team members, team leads, sponsors, and stakeholders.

Minimum Education / Experience:

  • Experience Medicare - Must have
  • Experience with Risk management - Must have
  • Knowledge of the healthcare payer industry with a focus on provider network management
  • Strong project leadership skills, with demonstrated success in leading and executing large complex projects.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written


  • College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems and seven or more years of related work experience.
