Seeking a dynamic and proactive Molding Process Engineer that will be responsible for all supervisory activities related to molding in the production department. The Molding Process Engineer will lead and direct Cell Champions and Mold Operators in the coordination of planning and assignment of daily work activities for molding.

Essential Functions:

Supervises Cell Champs and Molders to assure overall molding practices are followed.
Must be able to coordinate with the planning and quality for activities involved in the scheduling of work orders for a smooth and efficient operation.
Train and coach all cell champs and mold operators to improve the quality and output of molded components and assemblies.
Manage employee time and attendance system on a daily basis.
Work with Human Resources to help staff for current and future molding demands.
Must be able to modify the mold machine programs as needed per the operating procedures to meet the needs of our customers.
Must be able to coordinate with all levels of management and employees for any and all activities related in the scheduling of mold machines preventive maintenance within the Organization.
Must be able to identify and take action of potential improvements and/or failures for the molds and mold machines.
Conduct weekly meetings with staff to communicate training, coaching, safety and other related topics.
Foster an environment that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement.
Must be able to interface with all internal departments.
Strong ability to follow ALL documentation practices used in the medical device and development industry.
Must comply with all safety requirements including; manufacturing practices and procedures, standard operating procedures and manufacturing documentation.

Position Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

AA or BS degree in Manufacturing or Business Administration strongly preferred.
Five to ten years’ experience in the supervision of manufacturing of similar products and processes of injection molding and electro/mechanical assembly is preferred.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is a PLUS.
Understanding of injection molding machine controls, molding processes and post molding secondary operations
Must pose strong mechanical aptitude to operate mold machines and auxiliary equipment.
Good knowledge of a wide range of plastics and familiarity of insert molding of cable assemblies.
Familiarity of liquid injection molding (LIM) processes and liquid silicone rubber (LSR)

Skills and Abilities:

Good written and oral communication skills; must have the ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing and in person.
Ability to give and follow verbal and written instructions.
Excellent team building skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees, customers and vendors.
