THIS IS A CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY
Senior Monitoring Operations Center Engineer
Receiving and resolving Tier 1 and Tier 2 customer requests via Phone, email, monitoring and ticketing systems of records and acting to:
 
- Escalate alerts to appropriate personnel to reduce performance, availability and time impact to consumers of IT services.
- Perform initial troubleshooting of received Alerts/Tickets using deductive reasoning to triage and rapidly determine the accuracy, scope and impact of a noted event and to “rule in/out” layers of the technology stack as potential causes for any service disruption noted through any communication medium.  
- Invoke and where necessary, provide thought leadership on “recovery bridges” established to address service disruptions noted in the environment.  
- Create and publish periodic health status reports verbally, through email and other publication methods showing health of the environment and effectiveness of monitoring tools.  
- Work with other 7x24x365 NOC & Command Center organizations, dispersed geographically and culturally, to coordinate detection of issues and driving resolution through collaborative team based methods.

2. Login and out of applications and systems appropriately.
3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively
4. Familiar with ping, nslookup, and traceroute.
5. Ability to follow instructions.
6. Must be detail oriented.
7. Ability to assess faults, priorities, respond and escalate accordingly.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in settings where an executive audience is present (e.g. maturity in situational and contextual awareness and communications).
9. Train others based on instructions / documentation.
