Modis Engineering is currently recruiting for a OS Power Management Triage Engineer job located in Cupertino, CA for a 1 year contract.

Job Summary: The OS Power Management team is looking for a triage and development engineer to support the engineering organization. The position will include screening, debugging, and triaging critical software and hardware issues across the entire OS power management stack. You will have the opportunity to have a major impact on the quality of software for our client's consumer operating systems products.

Key Qualifications: Previous experience with system software (kernel, daemons, libraries) Excellent knowledge of C and C++ GDB/LLDB or other debugging tools Git version control Highly professional, with ability to multitask and deliver solid work on tight schedules Demonstrated innovative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills UNIX or macOS experience

Description: Triage kernel, driver, and framework issues related to OS Power Management Develop new tools to automate the triage and identification of software bugs

Education: BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience/skills

Preferred Experience: ACPI S-states, sleep/wake and hibernation OS implementations.
Familiarity with pattern matching, machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis
