Legal Specialist in North American Investment Law-2017
A Legal Specialist requires investment transactions and commercial real estate experience to assist the in-house law group.  A Legal Specialist will assist in:
• Review and revise confidentiality agreements based on template agreements;
• commercial real estate transactions;
• loan administration requests, such as assumptions of loans, discharges of mortgages, easements, amendments, consents and waivers under supervisions of division lawyers;
• Review of commercial leases;  
• Draft and negotiate tenant estoppel certificates and subordination and non disturbance agreements;
• Review and negotiate title insurance policies and ALTA surveys;
• Maintaining UCC filing and docket system;
• Discovery and document management for litigation relating to applicable investments; and
• Maintaining form library and updating department forms;
• Ability to meet deadlines and assist with closings;
• Provide training to members of business unit;
• Provide leadership to other paralegals in the department;
• Assist manager with the staffing of project assignments;
• Organize physical and digit documents
• Perform legal research

• Demonstrate proficiency with department and company guidelines and policies;
• General corporate matters relating to various entities and investment vehicles.
Desired Qualifications:
-A Legal Specialist must be a self starter, detail oriented, highly organized, possess excellent analytical skills, demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, and have the ability to work independently on multiple, simultaneous assignments with minimal supervision.
-Must possess the ability to work with other paralegals and administrative assistants on department projects and initiatives.
-Five to seven years prior experience with the above responsibilities in a law firm or corporate law department preferred.
-Paralegal certificate or Bachelors degree plus demonstrated experience with law firm or corporate law department required.
