Modis is currently seeking a PHP Software Engineer for an exciting Contract to Hire Opportunity at a Media Content provider in Washington, DC.
Primary day to day responsibilities for this Software Engineer include:

  • Support and maintain the current code,
  • Optimize current environment
  • Dig into issues
  • Develop enhancements, adding features, etc.    
  • They will be doing new development and a combo of support/enhancement work.   

Required Qualifications & Technical Experience include:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in development and delivery of technology products and services.
  • OBJECT Oriented Programming skills mandatory (PHP in particular)
  • OS environment: Windows, Linux and Android
  • Web services and REST API development
  • Knowledge of MYSQL databases
  • Development methodology like Agile and XP knowledge
  • Experience in writing documentation for external customer use as well as internal technical use
