A Plastics Fabricator/Cabinet Maker job is available for contract to hire courtesy of Modis Engineering. As a qualified candidate you must have a strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Be able to use basic hand tools and power tools and demonstrated ability to assemble cabinets from simple to complex.


Plastics Fabricator/Cabinet Maker Responsibilities:

Demonstrated ability to read and use simple to complex build drawing and related schematics.
Ability to work with multiple types of thermoplastics.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to use basic hand tools: square, level, chisels, utility knifes, scrapers, & measuring tape.
Ability to use power tools: routers, shaper, band saw, belt sander, drill press, drill motor, panel saw, jig saw & table saw.
Ability to read decimal numbers and convert to fractions or fractions to decimals.
Demonstrated ability to assemble cabinets from simple to complex.
Thermoplastic welding experience a plus.
CNC Operator experience.
Work well under pressure and with deadlines, while still maintaining focus to quality & details
Detailed and quality oriented. Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, be punctual & reliable

Qualifications:

High School Degree or equivalent; post HS education and/or training preferred
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment
Previous Teflon plastic welding or plastic fusion welding experience preferred.
Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment a plus.
Desire to learn and improve on a daily basis.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
Self-motivated with good time management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of client, company, employee, and internal information.
Ability to work overtime and/or travel if needed.

Comply with company policies and procedures.
