Modis is looking to fill a Project Manager role with one of the largest financial services and insurance companies in the US! Our client is looking for an individual with strong experience leading, managing and implementing projects for large organizations. This individual must have great experience with relationship and operation management at a PMO capacity.

Position Description:
This candidate will primarily support the IT program operating model transformation and drive improvements in the end to end processes for delivering executive information and retrieving key operational metrics. The candidate will support the Director of IT Portfolio Management and partner with cross-functional IT managers on the Delivery, Finance, and COO teams to thoroughly execute on project deliverables while further identifying opportunities to drive actionable organizational value.
 
This position requires a balanced contribution of analytical skills, problem solving, MIS management, business acumen, task management, and communication skills.
 
Position Responsibilities:
1. Develops, implements, and maintains operational control functions to enhance organizational efficiency and leadership transparency
2. Demonstrate independence and relationship management skills to motivate organizational partners to accomplish project goals/objectives
3. Collaborates with cross-functional IT managers to determine the appropriate metrics and measurements to evaluate the effectiveness of new operational processes/improvements
4. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of output and deliverables
5. Monitor ongoing projects to evaluate progress and take action if any issues arise
 
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience; Business, Economics, or MIS degrees preferred
• 5+ years of combined business, project management, team leadership; experience in a large IT organization preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills
• Able to develop mutually beneficial internal/external relationships
• Experience managing project tasks and redesigning processes to completion
• Knowledge of Agile Methodologies & Standards, Program Management Lifecycle, and SDLC
• Experience working in a geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-group
• Knowledge and experience using MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio
