The IT project lead will work closely with members of the Learning & Development team to implement new and enhanced IT services that maximize employee experience and efficiency for the firm.  Working closely with the IT Senior Manager for Learning Systems, the role will help develop an overall assessment of the Learning & Development IT needs and a prioritized list of initiatives.  This list of initiatives will include helping to develop an enhancement road-map with the learning function, implementing a learning simulation platform, and developing a global support model for procurement systems.
 
BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Overseeing small to medium sized projects through completion while managing project scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Providing strong project management, vendor management and solution delivery services to the Operations team.
  • Work closely with IT service owners and vendors to deliver new and enhanced IT services  described above – including mobile solutions
  • Coordinate business requirement gathering, testing and training efforts to ensure the function's needs are met at the quality expected
  • Deliver predictable business oriented results in a complex de-centralized global organization
  • Must coordinate and facilitate project activities across a small  team with a diverse set of skills to complete project milestones.
  • Continually balance the business process with technology to ensure the most effective level of business impact is being achieved balanced against the total cost and risk
  • Effective use of project management and expectation management skills to provide predictable results and keep expectations aligned
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders through effective communication resulting in stakeholder buy-in

 
REQUIREMENTS:


  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in an internal or external consulting role responsible for driving technical and process initiatives
  • Experience across learning technology/LMS
  • Understanding of system life cycle principles and ability to lead low to medium complexity implementations
  • Basic understanding of learning drivers and ability to align them to project
  • Experience in project management and systems life cycle principles
  • Ability to lead complex implementations
  • Proven ability and success in project managing custom, SaaS and package software implementation projects on a global level
  • Common knowledge of best practices and leading software packages used in learning technology preferred

 
 
Technical Skills

  • Successful track record of delivering components or work streams of global projects
  • Knowledge of learning systems such as Saba and Saba Classroom
