A Quality Control Technician job in Orlando, Florida is available through Modis. Quality Control Technician inspects incoming inventory for conformance to requirements using industry standard measurement tools. Assists Quality Specialists with product inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process until fully trained on how to perform unit inspections alone on all products.

Quality Control Technician job responsibilities include:

Interfaces with all functional areas to troubleshoot, communicate, and resolve issues.
Cooperates with Quality Specialists to communicate to supplier’s improvement opportunities and the requirement for corrective actions.
Uses gauges and other devices to verify conformity to company standards of components and assemblies.
Focuses on a goal of delivering zero defect products to all customers and ensures all activities are directed at their satisfaction.
Investigates improvement opportunities and documents them as required.
Troubleshoots problems, identifies and communicates design discrepancies. Identifies and suggests design improvements.
Recommends improvements to Procedures. May draft new procedures as assigned.
Monitors compliance to the ISO 9001 business system and ensures action is taken to address noncompliance when identified.
Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area. Practices good housekeeping in work area.
Reviews daily team requirements, coordinates activities, and overtime requirements with Quality Manager.
Hazardous Waste Management duties and responsibilities: Standard qualifications for shop technicians and periodic training provided as required by Safety/Environmental


High school diploma or GED.
Technical / vocational / or military training or related experience.
Ability to comprehend all engineering blueprints and written engineering procedures.
Must have clear understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Four or more years mechanical experience with some Quality experience or education.
Understanding of troubleshooting and design discrepancy identification.
Ability to use personal computer or workstation.
Ability to use all appropriate tools and measuring devices as necessary.
Ability to suggest process and design improvements.
Coordinates the return to supplier of warranty parts.
Must be able to safely lift and handle 25 pounds.
Above average interpersonal and communication skills
