Quality Specialist (Aviation)

Contract through December 2018

1. Generate internal FAIs for all company produced aviation hardware in accordance with AS9102.
2. Chart and trend nonconformance data; manage and track nonconformance reports for BEPS hardware builds; coordinate with stakeholders to complete NCR review process within target timeframes.
3. Explore options & define process for part traceability through the assembly process and to capture the as-built configuration.
4. Conduct process audits to review assembly documentation and perform spot checks on the production floor; record discrepancies and non-approved deviations from the process and report findings to the 777X BEPS Lead Quality Engineer and the PDL Production Supervisor.
5. Define product inspection criteria & update inspection plans in the prescribed quality system (access will be provided).
6. Identify the inspection gauges required on the production floor to complete all aviation part inspections.

The Seller’s quality specialist shall work onsite at the Vandalia facilities under the direction of the Buyer’s Engineering team.
All work products shall be reviewed by the Buyer for technical completeness and accuracy.
The following general skills are desired for all resources:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality, mechanical, electrical, or industrial technician role
Experience with AS9100 requirements preferred
Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications; GD&T experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts
Effective communication skills and attention to detail
