Risk Analyst Job in Job in New York, NY
Analyze output of statistical tests on the market data and investigate outliers
Drive remediation of market data anomalies by liaising with IT, modelling and desk risk management teams
Refine and devise new outlier detection tests
Contribute to devising tests for checking reference data for a variety of financial instruments
Periodically review time series of financial risk factors utilizing benchmarking and time series analysis techniques
Main skills
Strong data analysis skills
Strong SQL programming skills
Knowledge of statistical and time series analysis concepts
Previous knowledge of market or counterparty credit risk preferred
Business knowledge of market data pertaining to one or more asset classes preferred (interest rates, credit, FX…etc.)
• Stop gap resource before hiring fte
• Data analysis, risk factor centralized
• Good data analysis skills
• SQL required
• Writing/ modify queries
• Working with databases
• Business market knowledge a plus for understanding data and how it relates to market value risk. Understanding what they are working with
• Min 3 years
• Degree should be bs or ms in economics, finance, stats, computer sci with finance exp
• 8 week resource- start as soon as possible
• Interviewing: phone screen then in person Nicola and his hiring manager week of 10/2
• 40hr/week
• Financial exp strongly confirmed
• Looking for individual who can hit the ground running
