Fortune 200 bank looking to fill a risk and compliance job in downtown Minneapolis. Position partners with Corporate Finance, other Risk/Compliance/Audit (RCA) Consultants, and RCA Managers to create, implement, maintain, review and oversee an effective risk management framework. Participates in projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Identify gaps and inform solutions that minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors. Identifies, responds and/or escalates risks as appropriate. Inform policies and procedures in an effort to minimize risk exposure.  Serves as a functional liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.

Title: Risk/Compliance Professional  
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Pay: $23.79/hr, ($49,483/yr) weekly paycheck
Essential Functions:
• Partners with Corporate Finance to implement key risk management practices and guidance in the normal course of business operations.
• Participates in risk assessment and continuously works to improve the design and effectiveness of control processes throughout the business line.
• Facilitates appropriate participation in high-level discussions to identify and respond to business risks.  
• Educates line of business staff in understanding key risk concepts and their relevance to core business practice.
• Develops and gathers key risk indicator reporting for business line.
• Develops policies and procedures used to evaluate and mitigate risk.  
• Helps promote general awareness and understanding of risk management guidance and issues within the business line.
• Assists with monitoring, reporting and coordination of risk management projects for the Corporate Finance business line.
• Additional risk and compliance activities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong process facilitation, analytical and organizational skills
• Two to three years of risk management and/or project management experience in financial services
• Basic knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
• Ability to grasp key business line functions, and their impact on the bank’s operations
• Ability to learn and communicate key risk management concepts
• Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance
• Ability to research and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficient computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with staff at multiple levels in the organization, from the lowest level in the business line to the Vice Chair-Direct level
