THIS IS A CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY
 
Need to know programming in SAS and the SAS Macro language in Unix/Window/Mainframe environment; SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Solution design and development of reports; Knowledge in Enterprise Guide, Data Integration Studio and, metadata security; Proficiency in SQL and Oracle/DB2 databases, analytical skills and technical knowledge required in one or more higher level programming languages.
 
Top Daily Responsibilities:
• Tests & maintains data integrity across multiple databases (internal SAS, DB2, VSAM; external: Adobe, Excel, SAS parsing routines) Builds & maintains complex statistical SAS routines using macros, vendor software, & software written by self & others
• Designs research plans for data gathering & analysis; participates significantly in interpreting analyses & developing action plans accordingly
 
Skills a Top Candidate Should Have:
• Exceptional analytic and critical thinking skills, writing skills, communication skills, consulting skills, and ability to work within a team.
• Six (6) or more years programming in SAS, SQL, VBA, net or equivalent statistical analytical programming language.
 
Desired Skills:
• 6+ years of SAS experience required. ISPF mainframe/UNIX experience preferred.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication of technical material.
• Demonstrated effectiveness working as a member of a technical project team on complex projects. • Experience with analysis of large administrative databases and computer-intensive statistical analysis multivariate statistical methods, general research methodology.
• Work experience in one or more of the following areas: disease management, survey design, health status measurement, case-mix or health risk adjustment methods, research methods, actuarial methods, cost-benefit or cost-effectiveness analysis.
• Skills in analytical methods including problem and model formulation, algorithm selection, and development of overall solution strategy.
• Ability to train and coach less-experienced team members on technical tasks.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry, especially healthcare analytics preferred.
