Senior Business Analyst – Multinational (MN Xpress)
Seeking a senior business analyst (BA) to join our large Multinational program, specifically working on the Xpress application. As a senior BA, you will be responsible for following software delivery lifecycle best practices, specifically within the requirements/design space. In addition to leading regular meetings for both IT and the business, this candidate will also be responsible to work closely with all of the project teams to solve problems and drive continuous improvement and ultimately, business owner satisfaction. This role is also heavily involved with the testing process – both assisting the QA team with clarification, defect triage and retesting as well as with the User Acceptance process; providing walkthroughs of functionality to our business community and guiding them through the user acceptance testing process.
This project has a lot of visibility up through the Multinational Line of Business and is part of a critical multi-year, large budget program.
The primary location for this role will be in Berkeley Heights, NJ with additional time in the Water St., NY office as well as possible travel to Charlotte (not frequently).
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business unit representatives to prioritize epics, features and items that need to be enabled through technology
- Facilitate key requirements workshops and ensure alignment with user experience best practices
- Work with the MN Xpress business analyst team to create high-quality requirements that are thorough, accurate and completed on time according to the dates established in the overall MN project plan
- As a point of escalation to the business analyst team, provide support as needed to troubleshoot and solve issues quickly; further escalating to management as necessary when another layer of support is needed
- Maintain active record of status of all in-flight requirements which will be stored on Sharepoint
- Participate in regular larger Multinational project/program meetings, providing requirements status and raising any issues that need attention outside of just the requirements team

Required Skills:
- Minimum 6 years of systems engineering and business analyst experience.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to take command/charge of requirements sessions if they begin to digress or go off-topic.
- Experience presenting in front of senior business leadership in-person – both with good news to report and bad.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other related field.
- Strong drive to complete commitments when faced with ambiguity.
- Ability to facilitate impediment resolution in a timely, cost effective manner.
- Experience working with software engineering teams to build dynamic web-based solutions.
- Experience working through established delivery governance processes.
- Experience working with 3rd-party vendors as part of extended team.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently as needed.
