A Sr Electrical Controls Engineer job in Rochester, NY is available through Modis. Qualified candidates will have experience with either Faunuc or Siemens controls systems. Candidates must have experience mentoring new engineers or willingness to grow into a leadership role.

The Senior Electrical Controls Engineers job responsibilities include:
• Develop 2D Panel layouts and preform special studies
• Master Model and configuration management
• Facilitate design review, FMEA and risk management meetings
• Compliance with Safety/ Design Standards based on region (i.e. UL508A, IEC, NFPA)

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but will take someone with heavy controls experience
• 10+ years’ experience in electrical controls engineering – some leadership preferred
• Mastery in PLC/ Ladder software design and development on multi controller types
• Occasional travel maybe necessary to support down machines in field
